April 2023 Game Challenge: Bookworm

And now it's time to jump into the future, into the other side of the turn of the millennium!  Just like the last two weeks the game will be a puzzle game but unlike balls and shapes, this month's objects will be tiles consisting of letters!  And instead of placing them on a board to match things that already exist, our goal will be to create words with the letters that are there!  The game for the month of April will be... Bookworm!

Bookworm was released in February 2003 by a studio called "PopCap Games" which creates "online" games to be played on the Muggle "Internet".  In this game, you see a board with tiles on it, each with a letter on it and some dots indicating the rarity of the letter.  Your goal is to choose a string of tiles, each one touching the preceding one, to form a word in English.  This will earn you points, remove those tiles, and add more ones from whence they came.  Fill up a progress bar to advance to the next level!  But as you advance in the game, some of the tiles will acquire different colours or statuses.  Some of those are good (e.g. green tiles give bonus points), but burning tiles are the ones to avoid.  They fall down one level each turn, and if you don't remove them before they hit the bottom of the screen, the game ends!  And you see more and more of the burning tiles the further you go on... b
