  1. The holidays are creeping near, Snow is dusting all the streets. But this year, Santa's facing fear, A sprinkle of defeat it seems. His elves, they all are feeling ill, Sniffles echo through the hall. The reindeer look with worried eyes, The Christmas magic starts to fall. Santa's potions, all, are spent, The reindeer's magic starts to fade. Who can save the Christmas Eve? Is Christmas cheer about to be delayed? But then a voice, a tiny spark, A witch's hat behind the bushes. Hermione with an assuring smirk, To help the elves, she rushes. With spells and charms and Christmas cheer, Hermione gets to work with the reindeer. Mixing potions far and near, To heal the elves and help them deliver. The reindeer get a festive boost, Their spirits soar above the snow. With magic's touch, there's no more dust, Just jingling bells and "Ho ho ho!"
  2. I'm bringing a Meat and Mushroom Stew. Despite the name, it is not a typical stew. It contains bite-sized pieces of Roasted Turkey, Grilled Chicken, Fried Pork Sausages, and Roasted Mushrooms, in a Chicken Stew gravy. Along with all that it also contains a dash of Invigoration Draught to keep us energetic for a bit longer, not enough to make us lose our sleep of course. I hope everyone likes it!
  3. Verse 1: Halls alive with learning's fire, Echoes ring with youthful choir, Fifty strong, the student band, United hearts, hand in hand. Chorus: Hogwarts, our beacon bright, Guiding minds to take flight, Knowledge, friendship, strong and true, We'll see our dreams all come to view. Verse 2: From classrooms filled with eager eyes, To quidditch pitches where victory proudly flies, Charms and potions, duels and play, We learn and grow throughout the day. <Chorus> Verse 3: Challenges we'll face with glee, Building futures, wild and free, With every step, we'll rise above, The spirit of Hogwarts, fuelled by love. <Chorus>
  4. Imgur Link - Larger Version [1080 x 1080 px] The collage contains some of my favourite things during Spring. It has a photograph of cherry blossoms at the top, a photograph of a field of tulips below containing different types of tulips, below that is a photograph of bright and colourful Easter eggs, which are really fun to make. Beside that is a graphic poster for St. Patrick's Day, with different shades of green to emphasize the importance of the colour green on that day. Above that, and beside the cherry blossoms, there is an image that reads "April Showers Bring May Flowers", a common saying that we all know about, which covers the April Showers, because I do enjoy the rain in April. It is the perfect weather for having a hot cup of tea or coffee with pakoras and binging on my favourite shows.
  5. Imgur Link - Larger Version [1080 x 1080 px] The collage contains some of my favourite things during Spring. It starts with a photograph of a road with cherry blossoms on both sides, because I love taking a walk on such roads just to look at the beautiful pink cherry blossoms and click some photos of them. Below this is a photograph of strawberries because those are the first fruits that I get from the fruit shop during Spring, and who does not love strawberries? Below that is a photograph of some chocolate Easter eggs, some meat and a cake, which are some food items that everyone including me enjoys during Spring. Beside that is a graphic poster of St. Patrick's Day, since it is an important day of March and I personally enjoy it as well. Above that, and beside the cherry blossoms, there is an image of some beautiful cupcakes, because my mother and I will always bake during Spring. And we bake similar cupcakes with beautiful designs on top using the frosting. I always love baking those cupcakes with my mother, they are so fun to make!

  7. Fiona, a young girl with hair as green as the hills of Ireland, chased a giggling leprechaun through the emerald fields. She had noticed a flash of gold at the leprechaun’s waist, the last shimmer of St. Patrick’s Day’s magic. Fiona, armed with a four-leaf clover, wouldn't be discouraged. Today, that bag of gold would finally be hers. So she ran and ran, and finally, she caught up with the leprechaun, but it quickly pushed her away and disappeared into the woods in front of them. To Fiona's dismay, the leprechaun also stole her pouch of gold while escaping her.
  8. My family has a tradition of eating a roasted meat dish on the night of 31 December. It can be roasted pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, duck, or even several of them. This tradition has been going on at least since my great-grandfather because my grandfather grew up with this tradition as well. Here, I have provided a recipe for Smoked Pork Ribs Roast, and this is by far my most favourite recipe. INGREDIENTS: 1. Raw pork ribs (about 1.5 – 2 Kg) 2. For the Roasted Pork Ribs Marination: 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon freshly chopped thyme 1 tablespoon freshly chopped rosemary 2 teaspoons freshly chopped garlic 1½ teaspoons freshly chopped parsley 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 tablespoon coriander powder ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 3. For the dry rub before smoking the Roasted Ribs: ½ tablespoons brown sugar (I do not prefer my meat recipes too sweet, so this is only for a slight caramelization.) 1 tablespoon paprika 1 tablespoon chilli powder 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon ground mustard powder 1 teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper ½ teaspoon kosher salt 4. Apple cider vinegar spray (optional) 5. Smoking wood (cherry or applewood) STEPS: 1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F). 2. Pat the ribs dry. Then in a small bowl, combine olive oil, thyme, rosemary, fresh garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, coriander powder, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, making sure to get into the crevices between the bones. Then leave it to marinate for at least 10 hours. 3. Now it is time to roast the ribs. Place the seasoned ribs on a rack in a roasting pan with the fat side facing up. The rack allows for an even heat distribution and helps the fat render. 4. Roast the pork ribs for 1½ to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F) for medium-rare or 71°C (160°F) for well-done. Verify the internal temperature of the ribs by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest parts of the meat, at multiple locations, without touching the bone. 5. Baste the ribs occasionally with the pan drippings for extra flavour. This greatly improves the taste of the ribs, trust me. 6. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for at least 15 minutes before moving on to the next step. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, thus keeping it juicy. 7. Now that the ribs have been roasted, it is time to make the dry rub for smoking the ribs. In a small bowl, combine all the brown sugar, paprika, chilli powder, garlic powder, onion powder, coriander powder, ground mustard powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and kosher salt. 8. Apply the dry rub to all sides of the ribs, making sure to get it in between the bones, but take care not to put too much of the dry rub on the ribs, because we do not want to over the flavour of the roast’s marination and that of the roasting process itself. 9. Preheat your smoker to 107°C (225°F) with indirect heat, and then add cherry or applewood chips to it. You may use some other wood, but do it at your own risk, because personally, I would suggest only using one of the two I mentioned. 10. Now we will smoke the roasted pork ribs. Place the ribs bone-side down on the smoker rack. Spray the ribs lightly with apple cider vinegar, to help keep them moist. Smoke for 8 – 10 minutes, which is just enough to make the ribs smokey, but not enough to burn them. 11. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for at least 20 minutes before separating the slab of ribs into individual rib pieces for serving. Again, this allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, thus resulting in juicier ribs. I like to sprinkle freshly chopped parsley and finely chopped fresh garlic over the ribs for garnishing.
  9. The table top game that was my first love was Chess at the age of 5. But it was not the first table top game I had played. Before that I had played Ludo and Snakes and Ladders. I liked them fine but one thing I didn't like was that they were highly dependent on luck. Yes, strategy did matter somewhat in Ludo, but still. Then I asked my father to get me a game that doesn't depend on our luck. So he bought me my first Chess set. Then he taught me the rules but that was it. He played with me occasionally, but most of the time I used to play against my neighbour who was also my age. I instantly fell in love with the game because this game gave me MY OWN ARMY! ON A BATTLEFIELD. I was the general, I was in command. My strategy and planning would decide whether I'd win or lose. Then I almost forced my parents to enroll me in the school Chess Club. So they did. There I learnt a lot. Chess has been my favourite tabletop game ever since.
