Prof. Will Lestrange Posted October 1, 2021 Report Share Posted October 1, 2021 For some reason, many Muggles love to travel by 'driving' objects known as 'cars'. This act of 'driving' may involve controlling your 'car' through tons of crazy intersections, not knowing which way to go, and trying to avoid other 'cars', but normally, at least, you will be able to go straight along the road without difficulty, and these other 'cars' will at least TRY to avoid crashing into you! Neither of those things are the case in this month's game, known as... Up'n Down! Up'n Down (note the creative spelling) was created by Sega in 1983. In this game, all you need to do to complete each level is 'drive' your 'car' straight to pass through ten different coloured flags (once you get a specific flag it will show up as white on the screen). But due to the other cars blocking your path and the terrain sometimes making it difficult to go straight, this is much harder than it looks! You can keep track of your progress, though, by looking at the ten flag icons on top of the screen: the ones that you have collected become white - and when all ten are white the level is complete. You control your vehicle with the arrow keys: the up arrow makes you go faster, the down arrow slows you down (and can get you moving backwards if you hold it long enough), and at each crossroads, the left and right arrows mean "choose the left path" and "choose the right path". Oh, and you can jump to either avoid or land on other cars with the LEFT CONTROL key (landing on cars will give you a bonus). Good luck!
