Developing Character: Hogsmeade Station

You've arrived at Hogsmeade Station. Out beyond the crimson fences and crowds of student you see it. The castle! It towers over on the hill ahead, standing proud against the grey Scottish skies. Its history etched in every crack along its stone structure, every wave of the Black Lake lapping at the shore and every shivering autumn edged tree...

Welcome to the first monthly character development RP prompt. You or your character have arrived at HOL. Use this month's prompt to develop your character below to your hearts content. There is no word limit, you may write as much or as little as you like, just as long as you stick to the rules. You will earn 10 scales for posting your roleplay below. There is no due date, you may jump in and out whenever you wish!

Remember:

• Only speak for your character, no one else's.
• Write in third person, past tense, full sentences, proper grammar etc. You are world building remember so no asterisk and the like.
• Keep everything G rated and follow the HOL rules.

[Lucia Dinapoli]

Lucia took in a deep breath as she made her way towards the carriages, thankful to be filling her lungs with fresh air after such a long journey. The breeze helped to settle her excitement. She was back...and this year she was honored with Prefect status. Despite her nerves she was ready to take on the challenges this year would have her face, and almost desperate to prove herself worthy. 

Murdoc wrapped himself gently around her legs, meowing appreciatively with a little stretch before hurrying off across the grounds; he had missed searching for Porlocks in the pumpkin patches and tormenting Basil in the Dungeons.

It is good to be home, Lucia thought.

[Emelio Black]

Emelio smiled as she saw Hogwarts. All the first years traveled by boats, something she was glad she would never have to do again. Her Albino Python, Archimedes, groaned from his cage. Can I come out now? He asked impatiently.

Shhh! Emelio hissed, glancing around. She didn't need anyone figuring out she was a Parselmouth. Already she got teased for being 12 years-old and 5'7, she didn't need people finding out about this. Later Arc. I will let you out later. She heard him sigh and grumble, but at least he wasn't talking. As she walked to the carriages, she patted the Thestrals on the back, sneaking them a piece of meat. After getting in the carriage (and bumping her head on the way in) she noticed a 5th year, Lucia was sitting across from her. Turning red, she buried her face in a book, imaging the laughter if anyone found out she admired Lucia. Of course, she was a good student and very funny, and Emelio longed to be her friend. Unfortunately, she had always been teased so she didn't know how to talk to her, let alone approach her.

[Cole Thronheart]

The time the Hogwarts Express arrived at Hogsmeade Station it was dark out. Cole grabbed her owl and left the compartment. She walked behind the other students as everyone got off the train. She stepped on the train onto the platform and looked around. There was a very large man with a beard. “First years follow me!” He yelled. All the first years followed after him. They were all dressed in black robes just like Cole was. They came to the Black Lake where boats were waiting for them. “Four go a boat,” the man instructed. If Cole remembered correctly his man was Hagrid, he was the groundskeeper at Hogwarts. Cole boarded a boat with three other first years, one other girl and two boys. Looking ahead she could see the grand castle all lit up. Her mothers story was no match for the real thing. It was something she will never forget.
