June 2021 Game Challenge: Tetris (Arcade version)

As we conclude my third year running the Arcade Club, we get to finish off the year with possibly the most-anticipated game of the entire club.  Sure, we already had a Tetris game two years ago, but that was the Game Boy version - which, while potentially the best-known version, is NOT the best version of the game in my opinion.  No, we're going to go back to the arcades... for the 1988 Atari arcade version of Tetris!

As I said two years ago:

Tetris was invented in 1984 by a Russian computer game designer named Alexey Pajitnov as a computer game.  In this game, you are confronted with "tetrominoes" (which are shapes that consist of four squares attached together in some way).  At any point in time, exactly one tetromino is falling; you can move it to the left or to the right as well as rotate it so that it can better fit into its destination location.  Your goal is to position the tetrominoes so that every single square in a horizontal line is occupied; doing so will remove that line from the board and, depending on the version, give you some bonus points.  You can "fill" or "clear" multiple lines at once; if you have the right tetromino (the one with the four squares forming a straight line) in the right place at the right time, you can fill four lines at once for a "Tetris"!

Over the years, the Muggles have come up with zillions of different variants of that game; my personal favourite was the one found in an arcade console.

Now... in 1988 Atari developed its own version of Tetris, for the arcades, with its own iconic music and levels with escalating difficulty.  The first three levels are standard Tetris, but the next three levels start with some blocks already on the play field.  (Sure, the extra blocks begin straightforward enough - with the effect of simply reducing a row width, but just wait until the difficulty starts "INCЯEASING" in the next level!)  Then you get three levels with random blocks added as you play, then three more where there are "randomly advancing columns"... and then things get harder from there.  If you get far enough, the obstacles will spell out the initials of the top three scorers!

For this month's challenge, you want to go to THIS LINK to play Tetris.  Screencap your best performance (and post it in this thread) by June 30 at 11:59 PM HOL!  

(PS:  You can 'insert coin' by pressing the number 6; the LEFT CONTROL KEY will start the game and rotate your pieces.  Moving your piece left, right, and downward can be done with the left, right, and down arrow keys, though....) 

-Participation at all will earn you 5 scales.

-If you clear the first level or score 2021 points or higher, your screencap will earn you 10 scales instead of 5.

-The top three scores of the month will get extra scales (25, 20, and 15 respectively for the month instead of 5 or 10) as well as special awards!

PS:  Feel free to edit your post throughout the month as you improve your score!
