Prof. Will Lestrange
After a very Muggle game last month: it's time to return to more whimsical enemies in the form of bouncing balls... that's right, we're going to be playing Super Pang this month! Super Pang (known as Super Buster Bros. in the Americas) is a game where the player moves around the screen trying to deal with bouncing balls. You'd think that enemies whose motion is predetermined (and have no choice in where they go) would be easy to deal with, but these are wrong! For one thing, you're restricted to walking horizontally - or using ladders... which blocks off a lot of escape paths. Worse still, you can only shoot straight up in the air - while the balls will kill you on contact! And if you do manage to hit a ball, did I mention that it will split into two smaller balls? (Only the smallest size balls will disappear when you hit them; they give the most points as well). Once you remove all the balls in a level (dying means you get no partial credit for the balls you already defeated), you move onto the next one. At least there are various power ups that can make your quest easier... or harder! For this month's challenge, you want to go to THIS LINK to play Super Pang (any mode or difficulty level). Screencap your best performance (and post it in this thread) by April 30 at 11:59 PM HOL! (PS: Arrow keys move you in the directions you'd expect; the Z key fires your weapon upwards into the air. You can hit a ball if it bounces into the path of your weapon.) -Participation at all will earn you 5 scales. -If you score 2021 points or higher, your screencap will earn you 10 scales instead of 5. -The top three scores of the month will get extra scales (25, 20, and 15 respectively for the month instead of 5 or 10) as well as special awards! PS: Feel free to edit your post throughout the month as you improve your score!
