Prof. Will Lestrange
After the past two games which featured geometry and trying to avoid being caught by abstract villains, I decided to give you the chance to play the role of a giant monster, destroying buildings while being under attack by vehicles and troops. Did I mention you can destroy the vehicles too... and snack on the people trying to attack you? That's right, we'll be playing the arcade classic Rampage! Rampage was made by Bally Midway in the year 1986 to be played in arcades. In this game you are controlling a giant monster (who was formerly human: think "permanent Animagus") who needs to destroy each of 128 American towns in sequence. You can jump around (with the "Z"), climb buildings (using the up and down arrows) or use the X key to destroy everything in your sight; each level ends when all of the town's buildings are destroyed. But make sure to avoid the bullets... and try not to be on top of a building when it crumbles to the ground; the fall will hurt you and cost some energy! For this month's challenge, you want to go to THIS LINK to play Rampage. Screencap your best performance (and post it in this thread) by December 31 at 11:59 PM HOL! -Participation at all will earn you 5 scales. -If you score 10000 points or higher - or beat the first round, your screencap will earn you 10 scales instead of 5. -The top three scores of the month will get extra scales (25, 20, and 15 respectively for the month instead of 5 or 10) as well as special awards! PS: Feel free to edit your post throughout the month as you improve your score!
