"Going to get a few Death Eater pals to do us in, are you?”

Really, you shouldn’t accuse — dangerous thing to say — wands away, please!”

Harry, Ron, and Hermione run into with Narcissa and Draco Malfoy when buying  school robes, and there's immediate friction between the trio and Draco. Narcissa steps in, and Harry comments about what happened at the Ministry and implies she's a Death Eater as well. Does Narcissa's response of "Really - you shouldn't accuse" surprise you? Why do you think she responds this way? Why do you believe she sees his comment as "dangerous?"

She remembers how it was after Voldemort was defeated fort he first time. I imagine in the aftermath, people got accused left and right whether they had reason or not. In Malfoys' case, they were accused justly, only for Lucius to barely escape by lying he was under the Imperius Curse.

However, this time, her husband was caught red-handed in The Ministry of Magic and had no excuse, not really. Now, it is officially confirmed that Lucius Malfoy was a Death Eater and the family was slowly losing the respect and power their name usually held.

If it came to be known that Harry Potter himself accused Narcissa (and even Draco) of being Death Eaters, the Malfoy name would be ruined, even more so than it already was and thus they would lose mostly everything.

Someone has pointed out that the above comment may have been made by Madam Malkins and not by Narcissa Malfoy. Because that is very possible, I'm going to post a new question.
