Era 4: Alignment Chart

Recommended Posts

In Dungeons & Dragons, Alignment is used to categorize characters based on their moral and ethical perspectives. Most versions use two axes: "Law vs Chaos" and "Good vs Evil." Along with "Neutral," this gives nine possible alignments. This website provides some more information about alignment.

Here is an example of an Alignment Chart in the Harry Potter universe:

Fill out your own Alignment Chart! Choose nine characters from any book, movie, comic, etc. that fit each alignment. Please limit yourself to only one character from Harry Potter. You must include a list with a sentence or two explaining each of your nine selections. You may also create a visual representation with the following Alignment Chart or make your own. Any images must be kept to a maximum size of 600x600 pixels.

Lawful Good | Neutral Good | Chaotic Good
Lawful Neutral | True Neutral | Chaotic Neutral
Lawful Evil | Neutral Evil | Chaotic Evil

After you post your completed Alignment Chart below, you will find out if your 20 emerald shards will align with the Heroes or the Villains.

All nine characters do not have to be in the same universe.

Lawful Good - Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story) can be counted on to follow through on his mission. The Space Ranger loosens up a bit, but always tries to do the right thing.

Neutral Good - Mary Margaret/Snow White (Once Upon a Time) is one of the moral pillars in the series.

Chaotic Good - Kazul (The Enchanted Forest Chronicles) fights for the good guys, but dragons are always slightly chaotic by nature.

Lawful Neutral - Effie Trinket (The Hunger Games) works for the Capitol, but begins to think for herself.

True Neutral - Dr. Hopper/Jiminy Cricket (Once Upon a Time) is, in essence, the personification (or cricketification) of one's conscience.

Chaotic Neutral - Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z) pretty much sides with whoever benefits him the most. His temper is quite explosive.

Lawful Evil - Rumpelstiltskin (Once Upon a Time) is bound to the limits of the Dark One dagger.

Neutral Evil - Walter White (Breaking Bad) started out with good intentions, but eventually becomes consumed with the power and control.

Chaotic Evil - Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) is an evil fairy, capable of turning into a dragon!

Lawful Good: Justice Strauss (A Series of Unfortunate Events) because she's always following the laws in the series, even when it doesn't always work out.

Neutral Good: Winter (Lunar Chronicles) because, while she's on the good side, she finds herself caught up in both.

Chaotic Good: Ze'ev Kesley or Wolf (Lunar Chronicles) because of his wildness while doing the right thing.

Lawful Neutral: Jacin (Lunar Chronicles) because he's trying to follow the laws while keeping Winter safe and finds himself caught up in the middle.

True Neutral: Heather (How to Train Your Dragon Series) because she's rather in the middle of both sides.

Chaotic Neutral: Dagur the Deranged (How to Train Your Dragon Series) because, while he changes over to the good side, he's still a rather chaotic and crazy person to be around.

Lawful Evil: President Snow (The Hunger Games) because he's following the "laws" he sets forth while still being as wicked as possible.

Neutral Evil: Queen Levana (Lunar Chronicles) because she does everything with a reason and always manages to think one step ahead... usually.

Chaotic Evil: Fenrir Greyback (Harry Potter) because he's the kind of villain who seems rather... unstable.
