Basilisk (11/11)

  1. When I was visiting my family for Thanksgiving, we broke out a few games. We played a couple rounds of Trivial Pursuit, a couple rounds of Trouble (which my sister notably won both of, though the roll of the die is purely based on luck), and a few hands of Uno.

  6. One of the most famous paintings from the Renaissance is the Mona Lisa, so while we're here, why not sit for a portrait? Oh, but you'll need proper attire of course! And it's important to choose wisely. These are the clothes you'll pictured in for ages! Below, post an image of your portrait outfit! You can use a dollmaker or create a collage showcasing your outfit. Be sure to keep all images to 600x600 pixels or less. Alternatively, describe your outfit in no less than 75 words. Make sure to post by Friday, June 30th at 11:59pm HOL time for 10 scales plus a hint towards where the third fragment of the Emerald Cup is located.
  7. Many of the most respected Renaissance thinkers were knowledgeable about many different topics. To keep your mind sharp amongst these great thinkers, complete the hashi puzzle below. link to full size image Send me a PM with the subject 'Week 3 Hashi' for 10 scales and a hint towards where the third fragment of the Emerald Cup might be. If you have questions about the puzzle or get stuck at any point, feel free to send me a PM as well! Alternatively, discuss which topics of interest you would like to become more knowledgeable in and why in 100 words or more. The deadline for this task is Friday, June 30th at 11:59pm HOL time.
  8. During the Renaissance many things were reborn and new ideas introduced in fields like technology, art, and philosophy. While we're here we have an opportunity to rally behind some of our favorite new ideas and really help them get off the ground. Below, try to sell us on a 'new' idea (one dating from the fifteenth or sixteenth centuries) in no less than 100 words. Make sure to include what the idea is, who originated it if possible, and why you think it has potential. You can even create a fun tagline to accompany your idea! Make your pitches by 11:59pm HOL time on Friday, June 30th for 10 scales and a hint towards the location of the third fragment of the Emerald Cup!
