After running at the brick wall between platform nine and ten at King Cross, Cole was standing on Platform 9 ¾. The scarlet and black train sat waiting for all the Hogwart students to board. It was Cole’s first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was excited to go, she couldn’t wait to see all the amazing things her parents told her about. Her parents walked on either side of her as she pushed her little trolly with her trunk and the cage her white screech owl sat in. The platform was full of other students and their parents all saying their farewells. Cole turned to her parents and gave them a hug, “have a great time at Hogwarts, honey,” her father told her. “Make sure to send an owl to us about your first week,” her mother said as she hugged her tight. Cole pulled away and smiled at them. “Don’t worry, Mum, I’ll make sure to tell you everything! I love you, bye,” she said. She pushed her trolly down to where the luggage was being loaded and grabbed a hold of her owl cage. She walked through the crowd of people and boarded the train. Walking down the hall looking for a compartment to sit in so she could wave good-bye to her parents. Once she found an empty compartment she walked in, putting her owl down beside her as she took a seat. Her parents stood side by side, her fathers arm around her mothers shoulders. She waved to them as the train whistle blew. The rest of the students got on the train, finding their seats, and stuck their heads out the windows to wave good-bye. The Hogwarts Express made its way slowly towards Hogwarts. The trip would be long but the view would be beautiful. Cole couldn’t wait to see the beautiful scenery her mother had described to her. This was going to be the scenery she sees every year for the next seven years.
